Types of Deliveries

Delivery of equipment requiring special handling should be arranged through the Purchasing Department.

Relocation of offices and major moves are handled by the Physical Plant Department.

Delivery Scheduling

The normal delivery schedule is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Deliveries can be scheduled by using the Delivery Request Form. Delivery service outside of these hours can be arranged by contacting the Mailing Services Manager at Extension 7492. We prefer that all deliveries be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. The Delivery Service truck can only be operated by Mailing Services personnel and only for official University business. While every effort will be made to accommodate all requests, there may be times when deliveries will be delayed or it may be necessary to hire commercial haulers at the requestor's expense.

Delivery Procedures

In most cases, deliveries will be left with secretaries or building maintenance personnel. The delivery person is not responsible for setup of equipment or furniture.
